The Auchwitz-Bikenau tour was deeply sobering, but critically important. On these two sites, more than 1.1M jews were murdered by the Nazis. Locals refer to it as an invisible graveyard because of the ashes that have become an integral part of the site. It is encouraging to see thousands of people who visit daily, to learn and to remember.
